# About us

Phil Anderson set up Phil Anderson Financial Services in October 2011 to be the number one financial advice firm in the North and North East of Scotland. Today we have offices in Ellon, Aberdeen, Wick, Wetherby and Wilmslow, and advisers in Inverness, South Queensferry and Hamilton.

## Who is Phil Anderson?

Phil has worked in financial services for more than 25 years, including as a branch manager with Skipton Building Society, and as an independent financial adviser for many years.

He holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning and the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (Adv CeMAP). He was the first financial adviser in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to complete Adv CeMAP, and is a member of the Society of Mortgage Professionals, the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute.

## What do you advise on?

Independent advice on investments, pensions, savings, mortgages and insurance. We meet clients wherever suits them best and aim to find the most competitive products for their circumstances.

## Community

Phil is an ambassador for CLAN Cancer Support, a past president of Ellon Bowling Club and Junior Vice President of the Bon Accord Bowling Association.

We are main sponsor of Sunnybank Football Club, headline sponsor of The Archie Foundation Variety Show 2026, and have sponsored the CLAN BookBench Trail, the Ellon Bowling Club Super Six Tournament, the Newhills Bowling Club Invitation Triples and Castleford Tigers. We have supported charities including the Gathimba Edwards Foundation and CLAN, and won a Best Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
